Kurento was born from the belief that in slowness there is strength. In a world where fashion often moves too fast, often lacking purpose, disregarding process, and abusing cheap labor we choose to take an opposing stance. The name Kurento reflects that philosophy. It’s a fusion of my last name, Cross, phonetically in Japanese, Kurosu and Lento the Italian word for slow. Together, they speak to who I am and what this brand represents: a steady, thoughtful approach to design rooted in intention. Every garment constructed is a testament to our time and dedication to our craft, ensuring no step of our process is ever overlooked.
At Kurento, we value quality, connection and sustainability above all else. We’re committed to producing garments that not only meet our standards of design and construction, but that are also made under ethical working conditions by a trusted team of skilled artisans. We understand sustainability goes beyond materials, it’s about building something to last. To us, quality isn't just how something looks, it's the care behind every stitch, the thoughtful consideration of our design choices, and the pride in creating something that we are thrilled to present to you.
